The Story Behind the Bottle
There are few aromas more festive than the sweet cinnamon charms of decent mulled wine. Stick some on the stove and you're transported from your kitchen to a German Christmas market. And this winter we've taken the hassle out of mulled wine by crafting this spicy star for you. If you want to make a decent mulled wine, it's crucial to start off with a decent red. So we've chosen a Merlot rich blend, sourced in South Africa by our Buyer Davy Zyw. It's soft and smooth enough to sip on its own, yet has enough flavour and body so it's not overpowered. Heat it gently on the stove - be careful not to let it boil - and you'll release the evocative aromas of cinnamon, cloves and star anise. Bursting with sweet red fruit, citrus and warming spices.
